Comet stands as the park’s oldest operating coaster and a shining example of traditional wooden coaster design. Its double–out-and-back layout provides a rhythm of airtime pops, sweeping curves, and the unmistakable roar of wooden track beneath the trains. At night, its glowing lights and classic structure make it one of Hersheypark’s most iconic sights. Despite its age, Comet remains remarkably smooth and continues to be a rite of passage for generations of riders.
