Wilderness Run at Cedar Point is a small, kid-friendly steel roller coaster tucked into the Camp Snoopy area that’s perfect for introducing young riders to the world of coasters. Standing about 19 feet tall and reaching speeds of around 6 mph, it features gentle hills and wide turns that feel like coaster “training wheels” for beginners before they tackle bigger, faster rides. Originally opened in 1979 as Jr. Gemini and later renamed, Wilderness Run has delighted generations of little thrill-seekers with its simple, inviting layout and mild thrills — making it one of the best first coasters for kids at the park.
