Theming and track for Battle Galleons one of the new rides in Munity Bay continues to be installed on the old lake. The queue line for the ride looks to have been installed along with a large pirate ship in the middle of one of the sections of track.

Work on theming Battle Galleons continues with concreate still be poured into the lake for foundations and theming. In a small opening of the station building, we can see the theming for the ride is a castle and will be made fully out of bricks / concrete. From across the lake, we can also see one of the sections is complete and themed to castle turrets.

Mutiny Bay – an exciting new themed land especially for families anchors at the Alton Towers Resort in March 2008. The flagship attraction of the pirate-themed area will be Battle Galleons, a water adventure ride set to challenge all ages. Aboard the eight Galleons, wannabe pirates will take part in a fun-filled splash battle of their lives!
Mutiny Bay will also be home to Marauder’s Mayhem - a spinning sensation set within barrels of rum and explosives! For smaller explorers, a ride aboard the rocking Heave Ho tug boat will challenge brave adventurers.
New for 2008 –Pirate Rooms
To celebrate the launch of Mutiny Bay, two new Pirate themed rooms have been unveiled in the Splash Landings Hotel. Sleeping up to 6 adventurers, the rooms have been cleverly designed to give the feeling of being aboard a ship and contain a range of interactive games, a Playstation 3, and a treasure chest full of goodies for those skilled enough to crack the code!

The Swan boats are no more! Foundations for a new Splash Battle ride are being installed in one of the lakes at Alton Towers. Opening next year we expect the ride will be very wet and cover a lot of the lake.
