“At the heart of the Island you discover a DISUSED WAREHOUSE... As you enter a seemingly innocent Victorian train carriage, it soon becomes clear as sights and sounds fill your senses, that you will come FACE-TO-FACE with what lies at the end of the line.”

Since our last look at the project work on theming the outside of the building has continued. On the edges of the building fake pillars are being added to define the structure of the building and help make it look old and abandoned. The brick work shown on the photos below appears to be in three colours at the moment. We believe that the plan brick work wont stay but the black bricks shown on the other photos will be the permanent finish for the building. Archways for the windows appear to be almost finished. However there still seem to be small parts of the building still not water tight. We cant comment about the inside of the attraction as theres no way to see inside however the progress made since our last update looks promising. As shown on one of the photos below workmen where still working on the ride today at 4pm! We cant wait to see how this project progress over the next few months.
Building Gladding Continues
Sunday 15th November 2015
Work seems to have picked up pace since last Sunday with a large proportion of the building now covered in stone bricks. Due to the restricted view from monks walk we couldn't see much however we cannot wait to see how the attraction progresses.

The closed season is finally here and work on WC16 at Thorpe Park can really start to heat up! Over the past few months the park has had to be very careful with what they can do during park hours as anything left on show during this time would be published online by the theme park community or members of the public. Now the doors to the park have closed for the season the park can start work on the ride system and finish building the attraction.
In the photos taken yesterday on the last day of the season we’ve noticed a few things. In the first photo we've noticed that the room above the pit appears to be two stories high! Highlighted in the photo there appears to be a wall suspended in mid air. Could this mystery room lead on from whatever happens in the pit?
Looking at the side of the building towards Tidal Wave the park has kept the space in the side of the building for the big glass window. The building looks to feature three windows all together one at the side and two at the front looking towards Stealth and Nemesis Inferno. Its currently unknown if these windows will be blacked out or real. These windows can be seen on the plans for the attraction.
All the frame work for the building has been constructed with the exception of the plaza theming. Most of the building has now been cladded and some parts of it themed. Outside the building ground works appear to have been started with the fire exits that back onto X being gravelled out and block bricked paved. Strangely foundations appear to be being marked out near one of the fire exits. We believe this will become the work yard? Or possibly just a foundation for the fire exit stairs.
With the building still an empty shell the one question on everyones mind is what are the park putting inside the building? All we currently know is that the attraction will last for 13 minutes and will be the biggest investment Merlin have ever done. With the pit empty and the building still a blank canvas we cant wait to see what the park has in store for us! Your mind is wanted… sign up now at www.mindswanted.co.uk

The islands dark secret is out! Thorpe Park have teamed up with Derren Brown to create a attraction like no other. Since out last update the roof has gone on the building and the building has started to be cladded with wood ready for theming to be added. Brick work has begun near what we believe will become the shop and queue line area. Inside the building it looks like there is a partition being put up to divide the building up. We suspect one side will be one direction and the other the opposite. It is currently unknown what the attraction will be however when on Nemesis Inferno it looks like the park have put platforms in at the other end of the building (towards storm surge). Photos taken from public areas.
