Alton Towers Scarefest 2021 Construction Update 2

Alton Towers
Wednesday 22nd September 2021

Work is underway to prepare Alton Towers for its biggest event of the year, Scarefest! With live-action scaremazes and a new family attraction for 2021, there's lots to be done around the park.

A few weeks ago, the Sp00ky1 car appeared on the Towers Street lawns to advertise the event and since our last update more and more has happened around the park. Such as a scolding roof and floor being installed for Freak Show Toxic Junkyard, along with more theming being placed. The layout looks very different to last year, we can't wait to see how the maze differs from last year.

Over in the Towers ruins, mazes have been heard testing with music playing and smoke coming out of the towers. This is a good sign that things are almost ready to go! With most of the towers closed off all year mazes can be left installed as guests cant get to them. Just like previously, the Alton Ville Mine Tours theming appears to be set up again and speakers can be seen in the queue line along the X Sector pathway.

Work on the new family attraction, Trick O Treat Town is slowly progressing from what we can see on the outside. Lights and speakers have now been installed on the new frame outside the Dungeons building. With such a huge space inside unused by The Dungeons, we think this attraction has a lot of hope.

Returning from last year The Gardens will continue to be lit up at night, however, that is no small job to set that all up!  A small army has been working during the weekends and week to set up miles of cables and lights around the gardens. Props and huge lights can be seen all around the gardens, we can't wait to experience this again soon!

Scarefest 2021 is looking great and we can't wait to. see what other things the park has in store for us!
