Alton Towers Waterpark Maintenance

The Alton Towers Water Park is often closed for a couple of days at the start of January for its annual maintenance. However in 2011 the water park is going to be closed for a longer period of time. This is presumably for a more intensive programme of maintenance and could mean that they are going to be fixing some of the stuff that no longer works. The water park is going to be closed from Monday 3rd January 2011 until Thursday 20th January 2011 inclusive. It will then re-open from Friday 21st January 2011, this means that the water park is going to be closed for the last day of the Staffordshire schools Christmas holiday period. The water park have recently published there opening hours for the 2011 season! But please note that the outdoor pools are not always open so look before you travel to avoid disappointment!
