Bubbleworks To Close

On the morning of Friday 22nd July we exclusively broke the news on our Facebook page that Bubbleworks would be leaving Chessington World Of Adventures Resort after 26 years of entertaining guests. Taken from the press release, “The time has come to say goodbye to the iconic Bubbleworks which will float away for the final time at the end of Summer 2016.”

Since the original posting of the Bubbleworks leaving poster were proud to announce that over 2.4 million people have seen the post!! With 17 thousand shares, 5.2 reactions and over 7 thousand comments. Its safe to say Bubbleworks will be truly missed. 

“The foamy, family-friendly ride first opened in 1990 and has entertained millions of adults and children alike, with its magical animated scenes and fantastical fountain finale. Since being open to adventurers for the last 26 years, the ride has completed over 15 million circuits and has welcomed over 32 million people aboard its bobbing bathtubs. Professor Burp and his little factory helpers have ensured that all guests get thoroughly soaked on the ride and are left laughing all the way round. Over the years, there have been some quirky lost property items that have gone overboard on the ride, including a wig, a bag of socks and even an unopened bottle of ketchup!”

Over the past 26 years, generations of geeks and members of the public have ridden the ride and created great family memories. “Chessington are now calling for families and fans alike to share their memories on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram by posting their nostalgic pictures from the ride using #ByeByeBubbleworks.” 

Whats more the park have added a brand new VIP Experience. Bubbleworks behind the scenes tours! The tours will run for a very limited time only on Sunday evenings starting from Sunday 14th August and running every Sunday until 4th September. All guests on the tour will receive a goody bag and brand new and exclusive Bubbleworks pop badge. 

“Guests visiting the park over the summer will also have the chance of taking a piece of Bubbleworks memorabilia home* when the ride closes.  Chessington will be revealing which props and elements of the ride are up for grabs in their silent auction in the coming weeks and guests will be able to email bubbles@chessington.co.uk  to submit their bids. All proceeds from the auction will be going to a worthy charitable cause of Chessington's choosing.”
