LEGOLAND Windsor is a hive of activity this closed season, with a huge amount of work taking place across the park. While much of this isn’t visible to guests, especially as several rides normally open for Christmas are closed, there’s plenty happening behind the scenes. Attractions such as Laser Raiders and the entire LEGO MYTHICA area are currently shut as maintenance and refurbishment work continues.
Starting at the top of the park, the Water Stones running down the hill appear to have been removed. There also seems to be construction underway for what could be a new park entrance. In the same area, all the curbs near the Hill Train have been completely redone, giving the area a refreshed look.
Over in DUPLO Valley, the helicopters are undergoing their closed season maintenance. Some have been removed, with various parts visible on the ground. Fairytale Brook is also receiving attention, with work taking place in the station—its floor has been removed, exposing the metal framework beneath. Boating School is currently closed, as expected, due to colder UK winter temperatures.
In LEGO MYTHICA, the drop towers have had their tops removed for maintenance, and the entire land is closed to guests. Laser Raiders is also shut, along with the two children’s drop towers, and will remain closed through Christmas 2025.
Jolly Rocker is seeing changes to its queue line, with sections being replaced. Inside the station, the framework for the boat has been removed, leaving the boat sitting in the centre of the station. Nearby, the Pirate’s Gold pot wash-up charge area is undergoing major refurbishment, including a brand-new floor and a freshly repainted shop façade.
Pirate Falls is currently drained, as it is another water ride closed for the winter. However, the ride area is being used to house the Christmas grottos. Fire Academy is also closed, though it doesn’t appear to be receiving any major maintenance at this time.
Finally, Viking’s River Splash is in the process of being removed, though details on that are covered in a separate update. Overall, it’s clear that LEGOLAND Windsor is using the closed season to carry out extensive maintenance and improvements in preparation for future seasons.
