London Dungeon Christmas event review

London Dungeon
Sunday 15th December 2013

Last week, we headed up to London to check out the London Dungeon’s Christmas-themed attraction and show. The exterior of the Dungeon had received a festive makeover—snowmen now stand where the usual stone statues once were. In addition to the decorations outside, the entrance has been transformed with a fun ice-skating theme, as shown in the photos. On the far right-hand side, a figure appears trapped in the ice—setting the stage for the story to unfold.

The main changes for the Christmas takeover were limited to the queuing area and the lift scene. During the lift ride, an actor shared a short tale about being trapped beneath the ice with no one around to save him—adding a chilling twist to the festive theme.

Christmas has well and truly arrived at the Dungeons. Compared to what the old site offered in previous years, the new location and its current management team have done an incredible job bringing the experience to life. In addition to the Christmas overlay, there were also changes made for Halloween, including pumpkins scattered throughout the site. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to see those Halloween features due to other commitments.

A great effort all around from the 2014 season!
