During closed season at theme parks, all roller coasters are inspected. Trains are stripped down to component levels and tracks are checked for cracks. With Nemesis being the oldest rollercoaster at Alton Towers it has had its fair share of work done to it. From the track being shot blasted and repainted and the station being completely repainted over the past few years.
Due to the location of the roller coaster restaurant you're able to get a sneak peek into what's going on during the closed season to Nemesis. Following previous years, sections of the ride have been enclosed in scaffolding to make hard to reach sections of the ride accessible to engineers and specialists.
