Paultons Park Transformation: Valgard Rises with Drakon Track Installed

Paultons Park
Sunday 7th September 2025

Today marked a bittersweet moment at Paultons Park – the very last day for Magma and Edge before their removal, and also the final outing for Cobra in its current form. Cobra will now close ahead of a major re-theme, a full repaint, and a brand-new identity set to debut in 2026.

While it’s sad to say goodbye to such a well-loved corner of the park, the excitement for what’s coming next is impossible to ignore. The transformation of this space into Valgard is progressing at an incredible pace. Since our last visit in May, we’ve seen the station building completed, foundations poured and installed for Vild Swing, and the new restaurant really starting to take shape.

Perhaps most exciting of all, the very first pieces of track for Drakon have now been installed, with sections already poking out of the station building — a thrilling sign of what’s to come.

Although it’s the end of an era for Magma, Edge, and the original Cobra, the future looks brighter than ever. With Drakon, a massive new Euro-Fighter rollercoaster, on the horizon, this development is set to be a game-changer for the park. We can’t wait to see Valgard come to life!
