Scarefest 2019 Construction Update

Alton Towers
Saturday 7th September 2019

Scarefest is due to begin in 28 days, starting on 5th October 2019 this years event sees two new attractions added. The Attic: Terror of the Towers and Darkest Depths which will be using the space previously occupied by The Welcoming in the Mutiny Bay Courtyard.

The Attic: Terror of the Towers looks to be using a new section of the towers previously unused by any other maze in the past. As seen from walking up the path by X Sector, it looks like the maze will be using the top floors of the towers. In rumours, we think the maze will be double the length it used to be.

Darkest Depths is being described as: “Take a ghostly voyage where you'll come face to face with legendary creatures of the deep.” Located in Mutiny Bay, recommended for those aged 8+. Tickets cost £5 per person - book in advance to avoid disappointment. Using shipping containers the maze looks to be quite lengthy, a suitable replacement for house of monsters. We would love to see an attraction like this made permeant for summer and high season periods.

Around the rest of the park. Temporary gels have been added to street lights and some temporary lights have been set up along paths and along the towers.
