Alton Towers introduced staggered ride opens last year with the flume and the rapids however this year they have extended it to nemesis sub terra, hex and ripsaw as well. This allows maintenance to concentrate on getting the major rides up and running for 10am. The Skyride is also on this list however we often find that the attraction is open come 10:30 at the latest. Another reason for this staggered opening is the lack of need for these rides, when the park opens most guests go to the rollercoasters not these rides.
