The removal of Slammer at Thorpe Park is now complete, erasing the last traces of the once-iconic ride. The towering metal structure that dominated the skyline has vanished, leaving behind only the pit where it once stood. Even the air compressor, which powered the ride, has been dismantled, making it hard to believe that one of the world’s only two Sky Swats ever built once thrilled visitors in this very spot.
As one of the park’s most unique attractions, Slammer delivered an experience unlike any other. Its rare design and intense flipping motion made it a standout, but now, all that remains are memories for those who dared to ride.
