In 1990 The Vampire and Professor Burp’s Bubbleworks opened in a new area called Transylvania. Transforming Chessington from a park with a few rides into a theme park icon. The Vampire was a legendary rollercoaster from Arrow Dynamics and ran until 2002 when it was overhauled by Vekoma and turned into the Vampire everyone loves today! One big difference being the ride cars, in the old Vampire ride car you were enclosed and sat down. However, with the new ride cars, riders legs dangled below while you soared above the trees of Transylvania.
