Cbeebies Land Hotel - Six Sleeps to Go!
Sunday 2nd July 2017
With just six sleeps to go until the new Cbeebies Land hotel opens at Alton Towers, we thought we would take a visit and see what it is looking like.
Thankfully everything seems to be going to plan, Merlin Magic Making are still on site applying the finishing touches, as well as small touches such as planting around the car park and entrance.
It's certainly all go on site, The main entrance is pretty much done apart from the main hotel logo on the rainbow archway and a few other items that need going up around the entrance too. The theming item at the entrance is pretty much done but needs a Cbeebies bug putting in place.
The inside is coming along nicely from what we could see but due to the sun being kind on us today it was hard to see anything inside.
Exterior complete main work begins inside
Friday 30th June 2017
The exterior of the CBeebies Land Hotel now looks complete and it would appear that construction fences have started to come down with temporary fences now installed. With work on the outside of the hotel now complete we suspect its all hands on deck inside to theme the hotel and install everything needed.

Saturday 1st April 2017
Work on making the CBeebies Land Hotel watertight and installing windows is progressing at Alton Towers. The building now looks complete with bricks being added at the front of the hotel facing the Alton Towers Hotel. We've also noticed that the pathway from the Alton Towers Hotel to the new entrance to the CBeebies Land Hotel has been significantly widened to allow for guests with buggies.

Woodland Walk Closed For Preparations For New hotel
Thursday 5th May 2016
Due to the constriction of the Alton Towers Hotel extension, the Woodland Walk path has now closed for the foreseeable future.
Hopefully when the hotel extension is built a new route into the woodland walk will be added as this quick route into the park is a great option for when the monorail queue is too long.
Alton Towers Hotel Extension
Thursday 13th August 2015
In the past week Alton Towers Resort have submitted planning applications to the local authorities to extended the Alton Towers hotel. The plans will replace the previously approved spa extension. The new plans will add 74 more bedrooms along with a new reception area, more parking spaces and a new buffet restaurant for 204 guests.
A new car park for the Enchanted Village will also be created where the archery range is currently located adding 88 parking spaces including 4 disabled spaces. Access into the Village appears to be using the current path used to get from the village to the Alton Towers hotel. If approved we believe that work will start in February 2016 with the opening believed to be Summer time 2017.
