Hopefully when the hotel extension is built a new route into the woodland walk will be added as this quick route into the park is a great option for when the monorail queue is too long.
Alton Towers Hotel Extension
Thursday 13th August 2015
In the past week Alton Towers Resort have submitted planning applications to the local authorities to extended the Alton Towers hotel. The plans will replace the previously approved spa extension. The new plans will add 74 more bedrooms along with a new reception area, more parking spaces and a new buffet restaurant for 204 guests.
A new car park for the Enchanted Village will also be created where the archery range is currently located adding 88 parking spaces including 4 disabled spaces. Access into the Village appears to be using the current path used to get from the village to the Alton Towers hotel. If approved we believe that work will start in February 2016 with the opening believed to be Summer time 2017.
