It might only be two days since our last look at Project Anchor at Chessington, however, the park has been hard at work! The concrete footer for the centre of the new splash battle ride has been poured and work is now turning to the ride's floor. You can now also see where the control box for the ride is going to be located on the right-hand side of the disk.
Work continues around the new rock and tug location, since our last look tarmac appears to have been poured ready for where the queue line is going to be installed. We're sure it won't be long until the ride is reinstalled and work on theming it can begin!

Project Anchor is progressing well at Chessington, foundations for the relocated rock and tug ride from Thorpe Park appear to be completed, concreate has now been poured into the foundations, last time we saw the area the metal rebar was still being prepared.
Work on the new splash battle ride appears to be progressing well with a round base dugout for the new ride. In the centre of the ride, foundations for the motor house are being prepared ready for concrete to be poured in the next few days.
It's not just these two new rides receiving work, Sea Storm is still in pieces waiting to be put back together. Work on a new queue for Sea Storm also appears to be a work in progress, we wonder if the ride will receive a new queue line entrance to fit in more with these two new rides?

Plans submitted by Chessington for Project Anchor have been approved today by the local planning council.
Work can now commence on pouring foundations and preparing the area. We expect that these new rides will be ready for the Summer 2022 season!

Early work on Project Anchor at Chessington appears to have begun, this expansion of Pirates Cove will see two new flat rides installed as the resort continues to expand its ride lineup.
The Pirates Cove area appears to have been cleared since it was fenced off at the start of the season, the basketball games unit has been moved next to the old entrance to Creepy Caves.
The area where the rock and tugboat will be installed has been flattened and metal rebar has been installed ready for foundations to be poured in the next few weeks.
Early clearing works for the new splash battle ride also appears to have begun, with the old storage unit removed and a round circle now seen where the ride will be installed.
Sea Storm remains in pieces as the ride is still undergoing its yearly maintenance, we expect that the park is still waiting for a new part for the ride.

Pirates Cove has been fenced off ready for the installation of two new flat rides pending planning permission.
Sea Storm remains closed for now whilst the park appears to be waiting for a new part for the ride which has remained closed since early last year.
