Mysterious Smiley Face Sheep
Saturday 19th January 2013
Theme parks are beginning to promote their 2013 attractions, but Alton Towers has jumped ahead, launching their campaign in mid-January—earlier than ever.
Skipping traditional TV ads, the resort went bold by spray-painting the Cheshire Cat’s smile on sheep and projecting it around the park during summer and Scarefest. The new ride, set to open on March 16, 2013, is expected to be another world first.
Alton Towers also projected the symbol in London, including Covent Garden and Waterloo Station. We’ll share close-ups of the posters popping up across the UK as soon as we find them.
