In 2014 Legoland Windsor applied for planning permission to build a new haunted house themed attraction at the park however planning permission was denied based on councillors fears that the attraction would attract even more visitors causing higher levels of congestion on local roads. However today the park has launched an appeal over the decision to refuse planning permission. The refusal of permission was denied in August 2014, a decision date on the appeal has not been set.
