Construction is progressing quickly at Chessington World of Adventures as redevelopment of the former Wild Asia area continues. Foundations are well underway for a brand-new rollercoaster featuring both indoor and outdoor sections, alongside a new flat ride.
A huge concrete base is currently being poured, with clear forms visible for what are believed to be the coaster’s footings, ready for future track installation. Across the site, large quantities of metal rebar can be seen stacked and prepared, waiting to be installed to reinforce the upcoming foundations.
Rumours continue to circulate that the coaster could be supplied by Intamin, potentially similar in style to Uncharted at PortAventura World.
In addition to the rides, the new area will also feature brand-new toilet facilities, a themed shop, and a restaurant, helping to completely transform this section of the park.
This is shaping up to be a hugely exciting project, and we can’t wait to see — and hear — more developments over the coming year.
