To those people that had signed up to the Chessington annual pass preview day that was due to be hosted on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th March 2013, the park have sent a email out to everyone saying that the event has been Cancelled! The park have sent everyone this email:
The Passholder weekend at Chessington - Cancellation notice
“It is with regret that we have to inform you we are unable to open the park as planned for our Passholder Weekend on 16th and 17th March 2013.
We have been undertaking some significant infrastructure work over the last few months as part of a 3 year extensive refurbishment programme. Unfortunately these works have had some delays and whilst we had hoped to get back on plan this week, the recent bad weather has again set us back. As a consequence we cannot offer you an experience that we would be proud to say would live up to our usual standard. We appreciate this is far from ideal and would like to apologize to you as no doubt this will be both a disappointment and frustration, not least due to the late notice. The good news is that “ZUFARI – Ride into Africa” will be available from the 27th March 2013.
If you were hoping to take advantage of the special renewal rate, we will be extending the 35% saving and it will be available to purchase at Chessington from 20th – 27th March 2013. You can also secure your special renewal rate by calling our Contact Centre on 08444 77 44 44.
By way of trying to make up for this disappointment, on your next visit to Chessington, we would like to offer you an exclusive fastrack ticket for a ride of your choice. Please take your original Passholder weekend confirmation ticket along with your Merlin Annual Pass to one of our Xtra Adventures kiosks and they will exchange it for your fastrack ticket*.
If you have booked into the Resort Hotel further communication will follow.
