Some unexpected news coming out from Alton Towers today. The Katanga Canyon to Mutiny Bay pathway has now reopened to the public, more than likely to cope with the extra footfall that October half term and subsequentially fireworks bring.
The path has been closed since the start of the 2017 season due to a lot of work taking place around the SW8 site and due to the station building being so close to the pathway, it was not prohibited to be open. Now that most of the work has been completed around the station building the path can now reopen and is sure to allow for some pretty exciting views of the location of SW8, which is promised to be a world-class experience.
