Scarefest Construction Update

Alton Towers
Sunday 28th September 2014

With Scarefest due to kick off on the 18th October Alton Towers is hard at work setting up the scare mazes and walkthrough attractions. This year Carnival of screams is dropped for another more family friendly walkthrough called Scary tales, the location of this maze is currently unknown however we believe that it will be where Carnival of screams which used to be just to the side of the events marquee.

The Sanctuary and Terror Of The Towers appear to be almost ready with the entrance to the Sanctuary all set up in the conservatory and lights being hung around the surrounding area. Yesterday 27th September the work lights were seen to be on all day meaning that work is still going on in the mazes along with what appears to be air compressors being sighted in the towers.

The Zombies walkthrough maze in Dark Forest is looking almost ready with a few rooms dividers being spotted which could be heading towards Scary tales? Posters have also gone up in the Rita / Dark Forest tunnel advertising the mazes and Scarefest event. A big thank you to Stretchy at Towers Nerd for the photos.
