Nemesis Sub Terra opens
Saturday 24th March 2012
All Merlin UK theme parks have now all fully reopened and today Nemesis Sub-Terra opens at Alton Towers Resort. Now we haven’t been on the ride so we can’t say anything about the ride as it might ruin the experience for you and we don’t want that to happen! The themeing in and around the ride looks great and we are hearing good things about the ride and bad things. A theme park group called towers nerd are reporting that effects are still yet to be added if this is true then the ride experience should be better by the end of next month at the latest where the park should have everything sorted and all of the technical problems all ironed out. The latest park PR stunt come from Alton Towers for there brand new ride for 2012 called Nemesis sub-terra. In this PR stunt we see people in a lift get tricked into thinking that the bottom of the lift has fell off and that there going to fall to there death! Alton Towers have said “Nemesis Sub-Terra is by far the most terrifying of our attractions to date and we really wanted to test the limits of the British public to see if they could cope with what it has in store.” Now with only 38 days left, it was only time until we saw a PR stunt from Alton Towers about there new ride! We shall keep you updated on Nemesis Sub-Terra when we get the news.

Now the photos that we have got below show us a few things such as the fact that the ride is going to be a huge drop tower ride which could move depending on the ride type. Also in the photos below we see a photo of what could be the new station / box there making to host the ride starting to take shape. Now as you may know by now half term is going to be coming up in the next few weeks and nemesis is going to be open so we shall be able to get a up close look at the ride site and what is happening. Nemesis what lies beneath update
Thursday 8th December 2011
Its been a while since we got a nemesis what lies beneath update and now we have got a update from a fan. The foundations for the ride have now been made where we can see a huge hole being dug now it look like the rumours could be true and that we could be seeing a huge drop tower in there but with a bit of a difference like movie scenes as you go up then when you come down maybe meeting nemesis her self. Whatever happens the ride is going to be great im sure but the foundations for the ride do look huge as we have this big hole then a ditch next to the hole which could be used for a drop tower maybe?

Jack Osbourne hired as director of fear
Thursday 3rd November 2011
Jack Osbourne has been spotted around the Alton Towers Resort and now we all know why, Alton Towers has now confirmed that Jack Osbourne has been hired as  Alton Towers new director of fear. He has been hired to help out with the new nemesis ride which is due to open on march 24th 2012 the most terrifying ride at  Alton Towers  to date. Over the past week he has been settling into his new role as "Director of Dear" by working alongside the  Alton Towers Resort fear experts to develop the concept for the attraction and  Alton Towers  have said, "He is already talking about putting a heart rate monitor at the attraction's exit to record just how scary it is." Now to us it really does seem like Alton Towers are pulling out all of the stops with this new ride. There has also been a video made to make this first important stage of designing the ride and promoting the new ride for the new season which can be found below:

Roaming Actors Arrive
Saturday 29th October 2011
Alton Towers new attraction for 2012 Nemesis What Lies Beneath theming around the location this week has really started to step up a gear as we now have danger signs on the site access doors and we have red flashing lights around the doors. Over the past few days nothing much has been happening around the site but work on clearing the site is now almost done so it should be to long until we start to see major work being done to the site. However with the park shutting in the next few weeks it looks like all the major work is going to be done when the park is closed to the public probably due to the deep excavations alton towers have got to do to build the ride. There are also actors roaming the area trying to scan people for radiation with giga counters a object that scans for radiation and beeps if it finds some. Also a big cheers to Zach Lowe for the photo's.

Nemesis what lies beneath
Sunday 9th October 2011
Its been way over a month since we last posted about the new ride that is going to be put in the old lava lamp site for the 2012 season so its time we have a update! 1 month or so on we have seen lots of new things come into light such as a promotion site which can be found at www.altontowers.com/2012 and the area has now all been covered up with MDF by the looks off it. These photos sent into us shows banners put on the wood and the entrance which people shall be using when building the ride! The mini site shows us a video which shows us that it is going to be carrying on the nemesis theme lets hope it lives up to its sister and doesn't ruin the name nemesis, more news on this when we get it.

Alton Towers 2012 ride
Thursday 1st September 2011
Over the last couple of days Alton Towers have been uploading more and more information about there brand new 2012 ride onto their local council website to be put though the system and we have been waiting for the plans to be put online so we could give you a detailed update! Now this new 2012 ride is going to be located in the forbidden valley area right where the Lava Lump and body zorbing attraction are located currently. Also this area used to house the Dynamo ride which also got removed many years ago. The plan's that we can currently see show us that a new building is going to housed on the land behind the current Body Zorbing attractions.  The contents of the building is currently unknown but there appear to be pre-show areas for the ride which could mean a new type of ride! This attraction will follow the same theme of the rest of the forbidden valley land / military / industrial theme. Now on the plan's we can see this ride is going to have a shop just like the thirteen one eg housed in a storage container.
