Alton Towers Reopen The Gardens Following COVID 19 Closure

Alton Towers
Tuesday 2nd June 2020

Alton Towers Resort will be opening its Gardens to visitors from Saturday 6th June, in line with the latest Government guidance on the reopening of gardens and outdoor paid-for attractions.

The Gardens will open with limited capacity and restricted opening hours to ensure we can manage social distancing for our visitors, and protect our employees and guests throughout their visit.  The health and safety of our guests and staff is always our number one priority and we have therefore introduced a number of additional hygiene and safety measures which guests will see in place when they visit. We continue to monitor the Government guidance and may review these measures in future.

Here are some of the things that guests can expect:

  • Restricted number of guests, so everyone is being asked to book online in advance

  • Temperature checks on arrival at the Resort

  • Updated signage and social distancing markers on the Admissions plaza and other places around the Resort where people tend to gather

  • Sales of food and drinks will be limited to ‘grab and go’ items including hot and cold drinks, snacks and ice creams

  • All rides and other attractions remain closed in line with Government advice

  • Guests are asked to visit our website for a full list of the hygiene and safety measures we’ve introduced which can be found online. https://www.altontowers.com/plan-your-visit/before-you-visit/know-before-you-go/
