Thorpe Shark Hotel Entrance Theming Complete

The Shark Hotel entrance feature is finally complete and it looks amazing! Full of Thorpe Park history the outside of the shark has metal elements with graphics from rides past and present.
The metal frame that helps shape the shark theming has then also been turned into a rollercoaster track which is really clever! We think the shark looks great and is a great reminder of the rich history the park has.

Work on adding theming to the large metal shark at the entrance to The Shark Hotel continues. In our last update, we saw a Detotonator graphic added to the shell of the shark. But in this weeks update more panelling and some older items of theming have made their way onto the shark starting to form the main body. As every week goes by the theming element is looking better and better.

Construction work on adding theming to The Shark Hotel theming structure has begun. The main structure of the shark looks complete so we expect work will now turn to add items of theming to the shark.
We can already see an old Detetonator sign on the structure that follows the shark model seen in the hotel check reception area.

A model of what The Shark Hotel theming element will look like when its completed has been added in the reception area for the hotel at Thorpe Park.
In the previous render of the Shark, it appeared it wouldn't logos and elements of the history of the park, however in this new version it appears that old attractions signs and graphics will be added to the outside of the shark to make it more on brand. We love the fact that it will have sections of the park history on it.

Work on The Shark Hotel entrance feature has begun at Thorpe Park. The foundations for the giant shark theming element have been poured and the metal structure for the shark has started to be put up. There's no sign of any theming sections back of house or on the ground but we expect this to go up very fast.
Thorpe Park Reveals New Theme To Crash Pad Style Hotel

Thorpe Park has been running a competition on their social media channels for guests to pick the main theming element to the new hotel that's going to replaced the crash pad.
Three designs were put up for discussion and guests weighed in on their thoughts of which one should be chosen to be built.
However, it has now been announced that the winning concept is The Shark. We look forward to seeing this concept come to life in the next few months.
