Fright Nights 2023 September Construction Update

Thorpe Park
Sunday 3rd September 2023

Construction work for Fright Nights 2023 is in full flow! Work on building this year's new maze called Stitches is underway and work on building a facade for the front of the building has begun. We expect that the front of the building will look like a toy shop, with the maze entering on the front right near Tacotaria and we expect it will exit towards Vortex. With workers working on the site today, we even got our first glimpse into what we expect will be the first room / possible pre-show. With a black and white tiled floor, we wonder if each room will be themed to something different. We spotted on one of the wooden panels the "The Big Top" logo can be seen along with the words "Room 14 Toxic Clowns" 14 rooms would make this maze absolutely huge!

Around the rest of the park, a new stage has been installed outside The Ghost Train in the dockyard area. This stage is expected to be used for Oktoberfest and this year's Fright Nights event. Weirdly, the stage is semi-blocking the bar. Of course, there's still time to adjust things before Fright Nights and Oktoberfest begins.

With Carnival now over and fully packed up, the plaza area where the crow's scare zone was last year is very empty. We don't think it's going to be long until this area is closed and construction work for the crow's scare zone begins.

Trailers has also received a little bit of work done to it from the outside. The "Now Showing" sign has been repainted and the posters have been removed. Could we receive some refreshed rooms in this attraction this Halloween?

It's also worth noting that the compound next to Trailers has been completely cleared. Could this be a holding zone for the track for Project Exodus or a storage area for Fright Night's props before being installed?

Fright Nights 2023 is going to be a huge year! We can't wait to experience this year's scare zones, shows and mazes.
