Fright Nights 2024: Final Countdown and Exciting Updates

Thorpe Park
Saturday 28th September 2024

Fright Nights begins in just 6 days, and we’re dead excited for this year’s event! The park is buzzing with anticipation as the final touches are being made across various scare zones and attractions.

Mark your calendars for Thursday night when Thorpe Park will host the Fright Nights Media Preview. We’ve been invited to cover the event on our live blog, and you can follow all the thrilling updates here: https://live.themeparkguide.co.uk/?live=FN24

Around the park, Stitches looks ready to spook, with creepy toys filling the windows of the fake storefront, and queue line audio testing was heard throughout the afternoon.

Work on Crows of Mawkin Meadow is progressing at an impressive pace. This year’s setup is shaping up to be the biggest we’ve ever seen for the scare zone! The theming and lighting are nearly complete, with eerie objects hanging from the new shed / building in the centre of the scarezone. A label on one of the lights reads "witch," hinting that the story behind this scare zone has evolved dramatically.

New signage continues to pop up around the park, following the installation of the Dead Beat entrance sign last weekend. The old Black Mirror Labyrinth portal has seen new signs as well, including a restriction board and queue time display. There's even signage hinting at a "final beach party" inside the maze—could this be signaling the end of Amity Beach?

Over at Trailers, the area has been cleared, with trees and bushes cut back, though the entrance sign hasn’t been reinstalled yet. We can’t wait to see what surprises are lurking inside this year.

Lucifer’s Lair is also coming together well. A new wrap-around has transformed the stage, giving it a more infernal look fit for Lucifer himself. Platforms were temporarily installed to set up lights and effects, though we’re still awaiting the fiery elements we’ve come to expect—no doubt they’ll be added soon!

In Big Easy Boulevard, a shipping container has appeared, sparking speculation about a potential Fanta pop-up attraction. We’ll keep an eye on this mysterious setup!

Creature Campus is back for 2024 and looks fantastic. Theming continues to evolve, with witches seemingly taking over the area. The most recent update includes new stairs leading to a balcony, adding an extra layer of intrigue.

That wraps up our final Fright Nights 2024 update! We can’t wait to see everything come together for what promises to be the most spine-chilling event yet.
