Thorpe Park's annual Fright Nights event is just around the corner, and excitement is building for the park’s spookiest season. The event officially kicks off on Friday, October 4th, 2024, following a special press preview the night before. https://live.themeparkguide.co.uk/?live=FN24

In anticipation of Fright Nights, work is well underway across the park to get everything ready for the big event. From haunted maze setups to eerie stage constructions, here’s a breakdown of what’s happening around the park.

The popular Stitches maze is shaping up nicely for this year’s event. The lights above the entrance have been reinstalled, enhancing the spooky vibe. Above the maze’s entrance, new speakers have also been installed, setting the stage for immersive audio effects. The vinyl wrap, which will transform the tent into its terrifying final form, has begun to be installed as well.

Over at DeadBeat, the entrance signage has been added, featuring a bold logo with striking white and red letters. There's speculation that a neon sign may also be in the works, possibly where the old Slammer and Black Mirror main entrances used to be.

The Crows of Mawkin Meadow is shaping up to be a highlight this year. The setup looks particularly impressive, with temporary structures going up across the maze’s site. Speakers and lights have been installed, hinting at some thrilling audio effects to come, and there’s speculation about the meaning of mysterious white crosses scattered throughout the area. With this setup, it could easily be the best version of the maze since it utilized the old Saw Alive queue line.

The Trailers maze also saw some exciting developments. The plaza area has been freshly jet-washed, and testing of the music was heard earlier today. Over in the nearby compound area, some fencing has been removed, though it's unclear what this could signify—possibly a new element for Fright Nights? Fans are eagerly awaiting more details.

The Stealth Plaza is being transformed for Creature Campus, and work on the stage is moving along quickly. A new facade has been constructed, featuring a balcony that seems designed for actors to perform upon, adding a new dimension to the show. Although the steps haven’t been installed yet, they can be spotted backstage, ready to go. Lighting has already been placed above the stage, so we can expect the eerie glow of this year’s performance soon.

Finally, with Oktoberfest wrapping up tomorrow, attention will shift to the Ghost Train area. The stage there will soon be converted into Lucifer’s Lair, a devilish attraction certain to thrill and terrify park guests. The transformation should begin shortly after Oktoberfest concludes, bringing new horrors to the area.

As Thorpe Park Fright Nights 2024 draws near, the park is gearing up for what promises to be another unforgettable event. With each maze and scare zone taking shape, it’s clear that Thorpe Park is ready to deliver an exceptional and terrifying experience for all thrill-seekers.

Stay tuned for more updates as the final pieces of Fright Nights 2024 fall into place!
