Crane Arrives At Project Exodus

Thorpe Park
Tuesday 6th June 2023

A crane has appeared at the Project Exodus construction site, this is being used to help lower metal poles into the ground for foundations for the new rollercoaster. Holes are drilled into the ground where metal rebar is then lowered in followed by long metal poles, then concreate poured in. These will then become the base for the rollercoaster supports.

Elsewhere around the construction site, the site offices have expanded with B&E who was recently used at Chessington for World Of Jumanji settling into their new home for the next few months. Metal out cuts of logos from previous projects can be seen on the sides of the roof top.

It would also appear that work on removing the foundations for the old pump houses for Loggers Leap has begun. Located at the bottom of both lift hills where metal sheets to help retain water when the edge of the lake was closer. We expect that these will be removed over the next few weeks then filled in.

And yes… the Platform 15 fence is still standing! Who would have thought a B&Q fence would outlast Loggers Leap.

It won’t be long until we see more exciting progress happen!
