Project Exodus Foundations Continue August 2023 Update

Thorpe Park
Friday 11th August 2023

Project Exodus is progressing nicely with work on drilling new foundations for the ride now looking complete. The machine that’s been used to drill holes into the ground for the supports for the rides station and supports has now been packed up ready to be moved off site.

This is our first update for a few months down Monks Walk and from this new angle we’ve been able to get a better look at the new foundations for the ride. First thing we noticed is that a new gate has been fitted at the front of the site near Burger King. Securing access to the construction site.  Foundations for the station and maintenance building have been drilled and poured over the past few weeks. A trench for where the station will be can be seen on the side of the site. We expect over the next few weeks we will see the foundation base for the station be poured along with the bases for the station supports.

We’re still a few weeks away from seeing supports go virtual but we expect the park will start towards the back of the site and then make their way forward.

Walking down Monks Walk we said to ourselves we wonder if the old Platform 15 fence will ever be removed and if the last remaining Loggers Leap section of track over the lake will ever be removed or left there forever.
