During a visit to Thorpe Park today we've noticed that brand new security scanners are being trialled. Unlike current security measures across Merlin and theme parks around the world. You can just walk through two large metal detectors and the operator will know if you've got anything sharp and dangerous on you.
In the past few weeks, Walt Disneyworld in Flordia has started to roll these out as a permanent fixture and a replacement for old security checks.
If successful hopefully these could be rolled out across Merlin and see the whole security process speeded up.
