Thorpe Park Project Exodus Approved... Kinda
Wednesday 5th October 2022
Big news is coming in tonight about Project Exodus, plans for the new rollercoaster were sent to a planning community at Runnymede Borough Council tonight at 6:30pm UK time and it has been announced that plans have been given the green light!
Project Exodus has been approved!
The council's website is yet to be updated but we wonder when we will see some actual marketing from Thorpe Park about this new rollercoaster! It was rumoured that there was space left on the white construction walls ready for new marketing materials to be installed.
EDIT: The local council has approved it but its pending the final sign off

Project Exodus June 2022 Update
Sunday 12th June 2022
Project Exodus at Thorpe Park is still in the planning stages.
Since being submitted the plans have received both positive and negative comments that the park will need to overcome in order to get full planning permission.
However... preparation work in Old Town has continued, Platform 15 and Roots of Evil are now fully removed, ready for an access path into the site. This means when / if the park is given the green light that major work can commence. Since our last look down monks walk, lots of fence panels that used to line the queue line for Timber Tug Boat and stopping people from entering Platform 15 from the old entrance have been removed giving you a great view into Old Town.
Other updates in the area since our last monks walk visit, Rocky Express is still standing and hasn't been touched yet, lots of Fright Nights theming such as the hay barrels are still sitting on the floor, some of which have started to grow grass and plants in them. It would also appear that some of the Platform 15 fence panels have started to be removed, this will really open up the area when all taken down.
Fingers crossed it won't be long until the park gets a decision on the ride.
Extra Documents For Project Exodus Reveal Creek Freak Massacre Future
Wednesday 27th April 2022
Thorpe Park has added new documents to the planning application for Project Exodus, this is outlining issues such as noise complaints, the site access road and more interesting to enthusiasts. The possible future of the maze located within the Loggers Leap station, Creek Freak Massacre.
Located behind Burger King, a new site access road will be built, this will use the area previously used for Blair Witch and Zombie Hunt. This area has recently been gutted of all Fright Nights props and buildings.
Located in a planning document it states...
"Hatched Area to be returned to park control between August and November 2022 to facilitate access to loggers leap scare maze"
This means if approved we could get one last year of Creek Freak Massacre. Also located in the plans shows that the park would make a new entrance to the queue line for the maze. A new temporary entrance and pathway would be built for the Fright Nights attraction, this would be located just behind Samarui in an area previously used for Platform 15.
Ground Works Begin On Project Exodus
Saturday 9th April 2022
Groundwork on Project Exodus has begun! Whilst riding Saw The Ride today, we noticed that parts of Platform 15 had been removed and that a large drilling machine could be seen in the area. Down Monk's Walk, we also spotted a white van parked down by the previous exit of Roots of Evil which has now been completely removed. A skip can currently be seen under the Nemesis Inferno exit full of old maze props and rubbish.
Two large drilling machines are currently around Old Town drilling holes into the ground, for what we assume will become foundations for the new coaster when approved. When looking at the machine "Comacchio Geo 205" on Google, it confirms this machine is indeed for foundations.
Walking down Monk's Walk, you can also see the extent of the clearance works for a new maintenance road down into the Old Town area. All of the scare mazes have been removed, including the removal of Roots of Evil, Zombie Hunt and the end scenes of Platform 15. The train remains standing for now but we're sure it won't be long until these trains are relocated to the farm or sold.
This is big news for Project Exodus.

UPDATE: On further googling and research, it looks like this work is to test ground quality around the site.
Roots Of Evil Maze Removed For Access Path
Saturday 2nd April 2022
Since our last visit to Thorpe Park more preparation work for Project Exodus has happened. The old Roots of Evil maze has been flattened, with the old shed previously used for the finale of Roots of Evil and The Blair Witch Project being flattened along with lots of fences for the maze being removed. Looking far into the distance, it looks like the whole maze has been removed, we expect that this section of road will become an access route if and when Project Exodus is approved.
