2012 Scarefest line up revealed

Yesterday the Alton Towers Resort revealed on there twitter page the line up for the 2012 scarefest. This year we see the Boiler house be taken out of the scarefest lineup and a new attraction added in its place, this years new scarefest attraction is called The Sanctuary. The resort arnt saying much about this new attraction but we have this so far: “The Sanctuary is a new scare maze that invites guests to book an appointment at an abandoned facility, but a terrifying twist awaits. New developments on the X Sector site have uncovered an area of the Towers where human experiments were rumored to have taken place in the early 1900’s by a controlling force known only as The Ministry of Joy. What starts out as an innocent visit through The Sanctuary soon takes a turn for the worse. Will you make it out with a smile on your face?” Once again the carnival of screams return to the resort meaning that the Sanctuary and the carnival of screams are this years main mazes meaning you have to pay in order to experience them. This years ticketing system means if you want to wait till night time to experience them you will be paying more rather than if you did them when they opened you would be paying much less!

However it isn't just the sanctuary and the much loved carnival of screams which is there this year the terror of the towers once again comes back in its normal place whilst all of the other attractions have moved about due to the black hole tent no longer standing due to the exciting construction of SW7. The Zombies scare zone also makes a return this year however the resort have said that this year it shall be hosted in a “unexplored location!” We shall keep you up to date with scarefest news when it comes in!
